Hello guys! KJ here! Today I’ll be reviewing the new Gear S3 Frontier.
As always lets start with the specs. This has an Exynos 7270 dual-core 1GHz processor 768MB of ram and 4 Gigabytes of storage it also has Wi-Fi and bluetooth 4.2. It has also been rated IP68 which means it is dust and water resistant. It’s 1.3Inch Amoled display with the resolution of 360x360p was bright enough also to view in direct sunlight and colors too were very vivid. The gear S3 frontier is designed to take a hit. Its face is protected by the Gorilla Glass and its body is full metal it also has IP68 rating so can withstand being submerged in up to 5 meter of water for about half an hour. Achieving this rugged look and feel has made it heavy. It weighs almost 60 grams. It has a rotating bezel, two buttons on the side and of course touch screen! Now for the operating system it runs Tizen OS, Samsung's own OS. The os is pretty fluid with no lags. I also like the fact that you can rotate the bezel to scroll through your widgets and apps sometimes when I’m bored I simply just scroll the bezel for fun. There are different watch faces available. You can select one from the pre-installed list or you can download faces from the galaxy apps. If all else fails, you can make one of your personal taste. It's only disadvantage is its lack of apps since it is not Android wear. This was not a deal-breaker to me until I found that this also means I have to use S-voice instead of Google Assistant. Well, S-Voice does the pretty basic commands right but it still isn't quite the level of Google Assistant. Check out my review video in youtube to see why! Well, the watch also has wireless charging and it's pretty steady and based on the time it greets you with the appropriate greetings. For example, Good Morning, Good Evening, Good Night or Good Bye. Well that brings us to the final and most important question. Is it really worth the price? Personally yes, it is really comfortable around the wrist and has a lot of built-in features. It is pretty accurate and as a great connectivity. It has built-in Wi-Fi, Heart Rate Monitor, GPS, Speaker, Microphone and even an altimeter and a barometer. It has excellent build quality and a large crisp display with really long battery life if you don’t enable the always on display. Well, it is a bit on the expensive side but its features and the build quality make it worth the investment. Ok guys, so that's my review of the New Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. Hope you guys liked it.
